Message from our Mayor

Welcome to Trinity – A Place of History, Community, and Opportunity

Trinity’s story stretches back over 400 years, from its origins as a seasonal fishing station in the 16th and 17th centuries to its rise as a vital trade hub on Newfoundland’s northeast coast in the 18th and 19th centuries. Today, Trinity remains a vibrant community, cherished by both year-round and seasonal residents, and is recognized as one of Newfoundland’s most treasured tourism destinations.

Our town is a living testament to history, with beautifully preserved heritage buildings and a rich cultural legacy that continues to inspire. As you explore our streets, visit our businesses, and engage with our community, you’ll experience the warmth and resilience that define Trinity.

We welcome visitors to not only reflect on our past but to become part of our present and future. Whether you’re here to immerse yourself in our history, enjoy our breathtaking landscapes, or explore new opportunities, Trinity is a place where stories—old and new—continue to unfold.

If you're considering starting a business, we encourage you to reach out. Trinity is a place of possibility, where tradition and innovation come together to create a dynamic community.

No matter how long your stay, we hope your time in Trinity is filled with moments that will bring you back again and again.
