Our Volunteer Firefighters

Serving our community with courage, commitment, and care

The Trinity & Area Volunteer Fire Department is made up of brave men and women who dedicate their time and energy to keeping our community safe. As a fully volunteer team, they respond to emergencies, provide fire prevention education, and support community events. Their selflessness and teamwork are the backbone of our town’s safety and well-being.

Message from our Fire Chief

It is an honour to serve as Chief of the Trinity and Area Fire Department. Our hard working volunteers provide fire, rescue, and medical support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, serving the Trinity area from New Bonaventure to the Discovery Trail (Route 230). We also extend mutual aid to our neighbours in Port Rexton, ensuring help is always available when needed.

Founded in 1977, our department continues to protect lives, property, and help maintain insurance coverage for our community. While we are volunteers, we strive to deliver the same level of service as a professional department, supported by town funding and the generosity of our fundraising efforts.

I want to thank our dedicated members, the Port Rexton Fire Dept, our Firettes, and everyone who supports our mission. Your dedication and contributions make it possible for us to serve this community.

When you need us, we will be here.

Celebrate Our Volunteers

Our firefighters are everyday heroes who step up when our community needs them most. While they may not seek the spotlight, their contributions are invaluable. Here are some ways they make a difference:

  • Responding to fires, medical emergencies, and other town crises.

  • Conducting fire safety workshops for schools and community groups.

  • Maintaining equipment and training regularly to ensure readiness.

  • Supporting local events and initiatives.

Supporting Our Firefighters and Community

The Firettes are an essential part of the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department family. This dedicated group of volunteers provides critical support to our firefighters and the community. From fundraising to organizing events, the Firettes ensure that our firefighters have the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and that our community stays informed and engaged.
